Black Girls RUN! New Partnerships With National Races

Hello BGR! Nation! Just two weeks ago, we announced to the world about Black Girls RUN! being acquired and me now serving as the new owner and CEO of the organization. It has been a busy two weeks and I am so appreciative to each one of you for you for the outpouring of love and support you have shown me. I am so excited about this new opportunity and responsibility!

Now, that the excitement has begun to settle, it is time to get to work!

Over the last nine years of the existence of Black Girls RUN!, our relationship with local and national races has been a driver for the impact we make at races and the experience we offer to our members. Yes, our local runs are the essence of what we provide and do, but these local runs fuel our members to set new goals, train for races and even travel to races to meet other members. We are appreciative to all of our race partners that we have worked with!

Two years ago we announced a national boycott of several races, but since then have reestablished partnerships with Rock n’ Roll Race Series in 2017.

Well with new leadership of BGR! comes an opportunity to reestablish new partnerships and relationships. I am so excited to announce the (re)establishment of partnerships with both Hot Chocolate Race Series (RAM Racing) and DIVAS Running Series. We will be announcing more details about the partnership soon, but I am appreciative to both race companies for the opportunity to open the door of communication again and for their continued support of Black Girls RUN!. Check in with your local BGR! group on how this announcement impacts our members and get information on immediate discounts and more!

“The Allstate Hot Chocolate 15k/5k Race Series is ecstatic to have Black Girls RUN! back as a national partner,” says Steve Ginsburg, Owner of RAM Racing. “We always believed in BGR and it’s mission, as the woman of BGR are an important part of the national running community. The women that started BGR! did a great thing, and now it’ll benefit from Jay Ell’s fresh new direction. You go Jay Ell, we’re with you all the way!”

“DIVAS is so excited to be partnering with Black Girls RUN! again,” says Robert Pozo, Executive Race Director of the Divas Running Series. “Their energy at our races adds to the race experience and we look forward to the future of BGR! and seeing more BGR! members at our upcoming events.”

Stay tuned for more greatness!
