Education is essential when it comes to changing habits and cultural norms! The BGR! U educational series is a way to bring experts and trainers to the forefront to give BGR! members the information they need to make healthy living a sustainable and achievable lifestyle!!

The series will debut with "The 21-Day Clean Eating Challenge" led by Danielle Omar is a registered dietitian based in Fairfax, Va.  She advises clients on nutrition plans, and maintains the blog Food Confidence that helps people make healthy eating a part of their lifestyle.

With four educational tracks (varying in intensity), this course will cleanse your body of processed foods, sugar, gluten, dairy and other foods that keep you from feeling your best.  Participants will discover which foods give them energy, support their digestive and immune systems and reduce their waistline, and the foods that make them feel drained, bloated or weighed down.

BUT, I HAVE MORE QUESTIONS!!

Q: Do you have to be a BGR! member to join the cruise?

A: No! We will be cruising with other runners so, feel free to bring your significant other or friends if they want to cruise along OR take advantage of the opportunity and make it a girls trip with your favorite BGR! ladies!

Q: Is Black Girls RUN! planning the cruise?

A: No! But we’ll be there! We leave that stuff to the experts! It’s coordinated by Run For Fun Cruise Tours. They will be your primary (and only) contact to answer questions, book travel, make changes, etc. We get the easy job of just showing up!

Q: Will there ONLY be Black Girls RUN! ladies on the cruise?

A: Again, we will be cruising with Run For Fun Cruise and there will be other runners sailing the seas with us! Renting an entire cruise ship is expensive, but maybe one day!!

Q: Can men come?

A: Absolutely. Again, make it a vacation with your boo OR your girls. Your choice!

Q: Will there be classes and workshops?

A. Run For Fun Cruises has a ton of activities and events planned for you to take advantage of. At this time, there will not be any BGR! specific classes or workshops! Hey, we need a break too!

Q: Are we cruising or running??

A: Both! We’ll meet in Fort Lauderdale for the Fort Lauderdale A1A Marathon, where we will run (totally optional of course and if you do run, we recommend NOT doing the marathon due to time restrictions). Once you finish the race, we will transport you to Miami where will board our cruise ship! If you are interested on running on each of the four ports, you must register for the Running Package. Your sales representative will be able to walk you through all  the details.

Q: I’m SO confused and have tons of questions!

A: Never fear! Kim (1-866-431-0130) and Anne (1-866-431-0130) can answer any and all questions that you have!
