What does running the Chicago Marathon mean to you?

This is my first marathon and first time in Chicago. Running the Chicago Marathon means stepping into a new chapter of my running journey and proving to myself that I am capable of accomplishing something I once could only imagine.

What are you most looking forward to about this race?

I’m looking forward to the energy of Chicago, the people lining the course, the miles shared with my running community, and ultimately proving to myself that I can do something I’ve never done before.

Why Black Girls RUN!?

I’m especially honored to run Chicago as a Black Girls RUN! Foundation charity runner and to represent a community that has played such an important role in encouraging Black women to get out there, be active, and believe in what they can accomplish.
