What does running mean to you?

Running this marathon means a lot. I am from the Chicago area and being able to go home to do something so amazing like running my first marathon at home is amazing. I am also able to share the experience with my family and BGR! is so awesome. I can’t wait to go out there and do my best with the exceptional ladies that run beside me.

What are you looking forward to most about this race?

I look forward to this being in my hometown so my family can come watch us. I also look forward to this being my first marathon that I get to be a part of with my people and that means so much!

Why Black Girls RUN!?

Well as a black girl myself and being the youngest seeing all these older ladies out running strong and doing their best everyday is so uplifting, and I love being around the spirit in my group. It’s so heartwarming!
