There are run coaching apps and groups you can join for free. Why are you charging?

We believe that our Walk Before You Run program is the best way for any runner to get started using walking as a base.  We know that starting a running journey can be intimidating, frustrating and confusing. To be honest, it’s the reason why most people never get started. But if you can walk, you can complete this program. Our exclusive training plan and journal, paired with the camaraderie of your local BGR! Group and fellow Walk Before You Run participants, we provide a personable and safe environment to give you all the tools and information you need to make this a fun and exciting journey for you. From Coach Tia, to various running experts we’ll introduce you to, it’s what makes our training program best!

Are there opportunities to train with Coach Tia or the local running groups in-person?

This is a virtual based training program, so that means the majority of your runs will be done on your own. However, if you have a local BGR! Group in your area, we encourage you to use their standing runs as an opportunity to log your miles. Just be sure to let the ambassador or run coordinator know that you are participating in the Walk Before You Run as your pace may vary from the group.

But many of our groups want to support you on your running journey as well and have volunteered to be more involved with the Walk Before You Run training program by providing dedicated ambassadors/run coordinators, special runs and Walk Before You Run graduations for members completing the program locally. Once you sign up for the program, we’ll provide a list of groups that plan to hold special runs and/or group graduations locally or who have local resources on the ground to support you.

Will BGR! Offer additional training plans for longer distances?

Yes! Our plan is to offer additional training programs to accommodate ladies interested in running long distance. Please sign up for our newsletter to be notified when registration opens.

Am I healthy enough to run a 5K?

As with any workout our training plan, we encourage you to consult your doctor before beginning any new running program. Once you register for the program, we will ask you to sign a liability waiver and create an account on our website. You will not receive any materials until the waiver has been signed.

How do I sign up for the payment plan?

When you register for the training, choose the ticket titled "Walk Before You Run Training Payment Plan"We require a $21 deposit and you will be billed 3 times over the course of the training. You will be invoiced on the following dates:

February 15 - $20
March 1 - $20
March 15 - $20
