How to do the Standing Hamstring Stretch
- Begin standing with your leg elevated on a chair or other piece of furniture. The higher you can elevate your leg, the deeper the stretch.
- Start with the knee straight and lean forwards from the hips until a stretch is felt in the lower hamstrings. Hold the stretch for 20-30 seconds.
- Alternate legs.
