I successfully completed my first 5k this past weekend. With over 843 runners, I was extremely excited to come in 299th place! My goal was to run the race in under 30 minutes, and I ran a 25:47, beating my goal by four minutes.
What I really liked about the race was the competition. Not only was I competing against others, but I was competing against myself.
Now that I have the gist of racing, my new 5k goal is 24:30. What running or fitness goals have you all set for yourselves? What is your motivation to keep setting new goals?
