#TestimonyTues - Dreams of Running

Picture 6By: Ashley Carvalho Since I was a young adult, I have had dreams of running. Dreams where I would be in open fields, sprawling trails, or beautiful suburban settings running my heart out. I rememberPicture 8 waking from these dreams engulfed in euphoria only seconds later to have it followed by disappointment once I realized it was all a fantasy. The ugly truth was that I could not run 30 seconds without collapsing due to my weight and lack of physical endurance. In 2013 that all changed. The WBYR program has allowed me to be able to progressively work my way up to running a 5k, and more recently a half marathon, and still have energy left over. In addition I have lost over 90 lbs and have gained the most awesome group of supportive, fitness minded friends that a girl could ask for. BGR has not only allowed me to live my dreams, it has lit a spark in me that I promise to use to uplift other women to live their dreams as well.

Wonderful testimony! So inspiring. I have wanted to join this group for so long but there has always been an issue but I met a nurse who is one of the leaders and she invited me out. Real supportive. Too excited to start my new journey.
