Black Girls RUN! Adds New Dates to Sold Out National Health Tour

BGR_061113_featured-event_ptst_tour-stopsThere are two things that will never go out of style: being healthy and being sexy! Black Girls RUN! is proud to announce the addition of five cities to make up the second leg of the national “Black Girls RUN! Preserve the Sexy Tour.” Since January 2013, Black Girls RUN! has traveled to cities across the United States to host one-day health and fitness clinics. Thousands of women have attended these conferences and the positive feedback and requests from localities to expand the tour has sparked Black Girls RUN! to expand the tour to continue to promote health and fitness among African-American women across the country.

These health and fitness clinics will share Black Girls RUN!’s unique “Walk Before You RUN!” training program, guiding women in their journey from walking to running. Participants will also receive information and tools on choosing the best running gear, hair maintenance tips, nutrition and healthy eating, and more.

Participants attending the “Walk Before You RUN!” clinics will receive a comprehensive toolkit to get them out of the door and onto the pavement. The “Preserve the Sexy” tour stops include:

July 13 - Columbus, OH

July 27 - Chicago, IL

August 3 - Houston, TX

August 17 - New York, NY

August 24 - Philadelphia, PA

The tour is open to beginner runners, walkers, non-Black Girls RUN! members and current Black Girls RUN! members.Click here to find out more information, and to register for a tour stop near you. Tickets are now on sale.

“We are excited about this opportunity to tour more cities and encourage more women to make health and fitness a regular lifestyle,” said Toni Carey, co-founder of Black Girls RUN!. “Most importantly, these women will connect with a network of over 61,000 members who are on the same journey to becoming healthier.”
